I wanted to add: while I can understand your partner's frustration, he really needs to understand that his behavior is making things even worse (that's why I said he should read that same guide as you). “Rewarding” you with affection after sex and “punishing” you with being distant/cold probably isn't something he's deliberately doing but regardless, it sets up a terrible, dysfunctional pattern in most relationships (trust me, I've been him in this scenario and I realized how bad it was for my marriage at the time). Again, he probably doesn't realize he's doing it but ultimately, if both of you are committed to getting through this time and still feeling connected to one another both in and outside of the bedroom then both of you need to identify patterns in your behavior that are pushing you apart.
