Reassuring them that no, it's normal and responsible to get tested. Everyone should get tested annually and then more if you are switching partners. Im in “The South” so it's not that STIs is a sign of being promiscuous, it's that these young people have it ground into their heads that it's a SIN. Having sex is a sin and anything that proves you had sex, like an STI test, reinforces that you're a sinner. These kids don't use condoms cause the wrapper being found is enough to get them condemned by their family.
