I’m going to give you some advice – talk to your wife about it. First, there is a chance she was just joking. Second, even if she was serious it should be talked through because it’s obviously affecting you and your lack of desire will affect her soon enough. I am talking from experience where I said something that apparently hurt my husband (not body related) and we gradually stopped having sex. Then I learned in many years it was that one conversation that affected him so badly and that was the reason for our whole life gone downhill. Now 8-9 years later I am leaving him because I cannot live like that anymore. And even our therapy didn’t help. If he had brought it up much earlier – ideally within a few weeks of that conversation I think our life might have been completely different.
