1. No i getcha, but i mean this isn the sense of: uts one thing when a partner is hesitant to try something or is unsure and can be made safe enough to try it. But its another if they know themselves enough to shut it down hard. I dont know his background nor yours, but some folks are the type to shut down unfamiliar things, and other shut down familiar but negative experiences hard Ive had abusive and toxic situations in my past and i do have some hard no's that stem from that, and this sounded kinda familiar. I brought it up because i feel like im seeing you do some justification here and i wanted to draw your attention tonit, no judgement. Its all too easy to want what you want and find yourself sliding into a position where youre explaining why its ok to go against what you know to be fair or right. Its jut how we are as humans. Again, not judging. I do hope he comes arlund, but i think all you could do is explain how you feel about it, that you would really like it but you like him and respect his feelings on it more and ask him to let you know if his feelings change. I also want to day that i dont agree with his stance on this, but i have to stand up for his right ro have it, ya know? Best of luck.
