2. Yeah. But if I were in your situation I might choose not telling. Be aware she might be able to tell in the middle of the act. If that was a deal breaker for her she might stop in the middle, be mad you didn’t tell her etc. Years ago I would have said don’t do it, but after seeing post after post about young guys that struggle to get anyone to sleep with them, my opinion is that you are not obligated to tell for a simple hook up. I would say you might be missing out on some extra special treatment. 3. They’re not. Cdc, who, and planned parenthood all call it a very common virus. Medical professionals blow it off. Some even tell you it’s up to you whether or not you want to disclose. It’s an over stigmatized virus thanks to big pharma trying to sell more antivirals. But most people think HSV is the scary picture they show you in high school. That’s only a small percentage who actually get OB’s. MOST people are asymptomatic. In other words, no OB’s. Most don’t even know they have HSV, especially since it isn’t tested for in a 10 panel test. It does weed out the dirt bags. People who react like an asshole show how uneducated and ignorant they are. There’s no excuse for that. Especially since sex is a risk everytime a person has it and they’ll most likely catch HSV or something else from the next person. A simple, “I appreciate you telling me, but I don’t think I can deal with the possibility of getting HSV”, is totally ok and appropriate and isn’t being a dirt bag. It takes 5 seconds to be a decent human being to someone else.
