I agree with both of you! I think my problem is I really couldn’t have been more clear that I am safe and care about avoiding potentially exposing myself/others and for whatever reason he kept harping on how many times I’d been tested and the fact that I’d willingly had unprotected sex a single time (but mostly the getting tested). It was just bizarre. In hindsight, he definitely could have just been in a bad mood, though. I think I probably over-explained how I don’t just hook up with randos, always use protection, don’t have that many bodies period, etc., and I was just kind of dumbfounded that he kept going on regardless of what I said. I was clearly doing my due-diligence (and not as std prevention) and he just seemed the most bothered by that part.

OP as someone who was raised with a christian education system and in the church, you've been lied to. I'm 40. It has taken many years to undo that brainwashing and honestly, I don't think it ever completely goes away. It isn't wrong to touch yourself. Quite the opposite. It is healthy. As a man, it is actually is good for my prostate health. I'd do some more research and look into how to safely and cleanly touch yourself. Also look into some sex education for yourself. I'm sure that yours was lacking just like mine, which led me to some very unhealthy sexual behaviors. I came out ok, but that isn't always the case, so please do educate yourself as much as you can.
