1. The following is not advice but it is how I would handle this obviously un-winnable situation until I was able to get out. And I absolutely would be aiming to get out. It is RARE for mama’s boys to ever change and it’s even less likely for meddling MIL’s to get back into their own lanes. If it were me I’d be telling everyone about it. I’d be non-plaining to my friends about it, asking closer acquaintances if they had any tips on how to wrangle four kids under 7 and still make time for my husbands “needs” since I feel guilty about only being able to manage four times a week, tell people that I’m embarrassed that he felt he had to get his mom to tell me I was failing as a wife and that I’m afraid he’ll cheat if I don’t “get my act together”… I’d embarrass the shit out of him and his mother by becoming the most pathetic and sad mess anyone could ever pity. All eyes would be on them and absolutely nobody with sense would ever be on their side.
