It definitely could be a result of depression and anxiety, so even if friends and a therapist are off the table, doing what you can to cope with those def might help. It does sound like it could all be interconnected so taking a step towards some self care and love might be the way to go. Well you've obviously met multiple guys that were perfectly fine with that setup, so there's no reason to think they're aren't more. I married a woman with a similar mindset.
