3. Okay I realize my candor wasn't the best but if you read between the lines it's pretty reasonable what I'm saying. I'm not going to come on here and tell people what other people want them to hear, I'm going to be straight up and tell them what they need to hear. OP I hope what I said wasn't offensive to you, I had few too many martinis last night but it sounds like maybe your relationship suffers from poor communication either from both of you but definitely from her. Ask her what all this is really about and don't settle for an answer you don't believe (after this long together you should know if your partner is beating around the bush). It boils down to two things, and I want to preface first because I know that often times the entire story isn't being told, and I don't mean intentionally not being told but it's really hard to determine the issue without hearing both sides of the story. But here are my unprofessional and probably unpopular opinions. 1) Either you are a homosexual and came here for heterosexual affirmation which I'm leaning towards not being the case. 2) She is bat shit crazy. And honestly there isn't a person on earth that isn't crazy in one way or another. Often times it is incredibly attractive for both partners. The difference is that most people understand their craziness. Her correlation between the political shows you enjoy and you having homosexual or bisexual tendencies is baffling to me. My final point is you have no interest in her wild suggestion. If she loves you she would understand. This isn't a tiff about taking out the garbage, it's about you. It's okay to be selfish at certain times in relationships. Only a few will understand this but the only person that's going to make you happy is the one in the mirror. Best of luck.
