You had many, many valid points in your comment. The post WAS indeed problematic. Let me tell you something. Blunt. And you are not going to like it. (and frankly, you are not in any way the first who is not going to like it.) In some geographical areas, it IS almost grammatically correct to refer to a woman as female. In the sense that it has become a mix of slang and dialect. And has been for so long that it's a word that mothers teach their sons to use about women. If you want me to air some prejudice, I'd guess that we are talking mostly about southern states in the US. The words woman and female IS interchangeable in some places. It doesn't matter that both you and I are perfectly capable of reading in a dictionary, they still use the word that way. Because that is how slang and dialect works. Slang and dialect doesn't care about your freakin' dictionary. Or mine. I'm sure the definition you gave me is more or less identical to the definition in mine too. What matters HERE is how the word is USED. And, in a way, the fact that we moderators often need to stop unnecessary rows before they get out of hand. If you insist on keeping calling out people – no matter if it's men or women – specifically for the use of the word female, you are going to get yourself in trouble here eventually. For the one part of your comment that was unnecessary. maybe instead of getting your panties in a twist Honestly? I don't give a rats ass about if you like this moderator action or not. I tried to tell you gently that the whole woman/female-discussion is one that you are not going to have a lot of luck having in /r/sex, and spend your time on other things that are more important and actually achieve something. This moderator action stands. Do not continue to get worked up over that specific word here in /r/sex, it's a waste of your time. You are going to achieve NOTHING by reacting to it. Call out other incel behaviour in a non-condescending tone, and we are not going to have a problem with you. I am really close to drawing a hard line here, but I would rather that you slow down a bit and try to see what I'm telling you so that I don't have to.
